After joining Search in January 2021 as an Associate, Isabel Stone was promoted to Recruitment Consultant after just three months with the company. We sat down with her to ask her some questions about her journey so far and what advice she has for other recruiters early in their career.

Tell us a bit about your career progression plan so far…Â
I started in recruitment in 2014 as a Labour Manager and following that I worked in internal recruitment. I joined Search as an Associate in January in the Call & Contact Centre Division and three months later I was promoted to a Consultant!
What was it like to be promoted so quickly?
It was a shock! I’d never done 360 recruitment before, so to be promoted so quickly was wonderful. The opportunities at Search are endless though and there is no ‘minimum term’ you need to serve to achieve a promotion and drive your career progression plan.
What do you think was the key to your success?
To achieve both my probation and promotion targets in record time was a massive achievement for me. What really helped with this was the training that I was given both informally by my manager, Jade Wood, and formally via the Talent & Development programme.
What would you say to anyone thinking of applying for a role at Search?
Go for it! Whether you’re thinking of joining Search as an Associate or Experienced Consultant, everyone is given amazing training and development opportunities that suit them. The Talent & Development team have put a lot of effort into offering us bespoke training packages and this has seen me progress, so I couldn’t recommend it enough.
